Recap: Grace Christian Warriors vs. Dayspring Christian Academy Lions
The Grace Christian Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-59 victory over Dayspring Christian Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Grace Christian.
Grace Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Justin Hain led the charge by scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. That makes it four consecutive games in which Hain has scored at least 25% of Grace Christian's points. Patrick Wells was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds.
Grace Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Grace Christian and Eukarya Christian Academy will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 6:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Dayspring Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Roanoke Valley Christian at 3:30 p.m. on January 13, 2024.
