Softball Recap: North Iredell Raiders vs. Foard Tigers

North Iredell's hitters rose to the challenge against a Tigers pitching crew that boasted an average of only 2.87 runs allowed on Monday. The North Iredell Raiders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 win over the Foard Tigers. The victory was nothing new for North Iredell as they're now sitting on four straight.

Kynlie Moss spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive pitching appearances.

North Iredell's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Foard, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-4.

North Iredell will take on North Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Lincoln is coming into the game with five straight victories on the road, so North Iredell will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Foard, they will challenge St. Stephens at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
