Soccer Recap: North Branch Takes a Loss

North Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 5-1 to the Yale Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, North Branch can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 384th, while Yale are ranked 180th).

North Branch's loss dropped their record down to 0-7-1. As for Yale, their win bumped their record up to 7-2-1.

Coming up, North Branch will welcome Imlay City at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Imlay City will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something North Branch surely won't give up without a fight. As for Yale, they are taking a road trip to face off against Almont at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Yale will be up against Almont's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.8 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
