Basketball Recap: Rice Consolidated Comes Up Short

Rice Consolidated was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss. They lost 45-23 to the Palacios Sharks. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-22 back in December of 2024.

Rice Consolidated's defeat dropped their record down to 1-22. As for Palacios, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rice Consolidated will face off against Industrial at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Palacios, they will square off against Yoakum at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Palacios has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
