Drexel/Miami came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 56-8 defeat at the hands of the Lockwood Tigers. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, Drexel/Miami couldn't push the score so high this time.

Drexel/Miami's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Lockwood, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
