Basketball Recap: Cowanesque Valley's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Cowanesque Valley's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They secured a 66-60 W over the Wyalusing Valley Rams. The win almost wasn't to be: the Indians were down 46-29 in the third quarter.

Despite the loss, Wyalusing Valley still got an impressive performance from Zibiah Walton, who posted 19 points along with eight boards and three blocks. That's the most blocks Walton has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hunter House, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds.

The victory snapped Cowanesque Valley's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-8 record. As for Wyalusing Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-16 record this season.

Cowanesque Valley will challenge Sayre at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wyalusing Valley, they will face off against Troy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
