Football Recap: Torres Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Torres's offense. They were beaten by the McLane Highlanders 42-0 on Friday. The shutout was out of character for the Toros seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

McLane found their leader in sophomore Vernon Lacy, who threw for 246 yards and five touchdowns.

Torres' defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for McLane, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Torres has already played their next contest, a 24-7 loss against Sanger West on the 10th. As for McLane, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 42-0 victory against Roosevelt on the 9th.
