Volleyball Recap: Isabella Steliga and Brooklyn Barth Secure Win for Lake Central

After losing to Hammond Bishop Noll the last time they met, Lake Central decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Indians came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

Leading Lake Central to victory were Brooklyn Barth and Isabella Steliga. Barth had ten digs and three assists, while Steliga had 15 assists and three digs. Barth has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played. Audrey Behm also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Lake Central's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-11.

Coincidentally, Lake Central and Hammond Bishop Noll will both be playing Benet Academy the next time they take the court. The Indians will head out to face the Redwings at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
