Basketball Recap: Belle Chasse Comes Up Short

Belle Chasse was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-44 heartbreaker at the hands of the Academy of Our Lady Penguins. The Cardinals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Penguins earlier this season, when they won 54-29.

Belle Chasse's record now sits at 9-15. As for Academy of Our Lady, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-16.

Belle Chasse wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 43-26 defeat against Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy on the 8th. As for Academy of Our Lady, they will welcome St. Charles Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
