Baseball Recap: St. Francis Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins at Home

St. Francis dropped their record down to 22-4 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's eight-game streak of wins at home. They lost 12-4 to the Fenwick Friars. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Friars earlier this season, when they won 14-4.

As for Fenwick, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-13-1 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8 runs.

For Fenwick's part, Harrison Dragus looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Dragus has become a key player for the Friars: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most three hits, but 11-12-1 otherwise.

At the plate, JJ Obaldo was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Fenwick's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-1 (and 9-12-1 when he doesn't). Josh Morgan was another key player, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with two runs and one double.
