Loyola had lost four games at home, but after bumping their record up to 6-10 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Martin County West Mavericks. The Crusaders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Martin County West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.
