Volleyball Recap: Malvern Comes Up Short

Malvern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Tuscarawas Central Catholic Saints. The Hornets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Saints from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16, 25-12.

Despite the loss, Malvern still got an impressive performance from Avery Sprague, who had 13 digs. Sprague has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Malvern's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Tuscarawas Central Catholic, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Malvern will take on David Anderson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tuscarawas Central Catholic, they will face off against Conotton Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
