Baseball Recap: Whitman-Hanson Regional Comes Up Short

Whitman-Hanson Regional lost against Hingham back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harbormen. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jason Nye was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Whitman-Hanson Regional's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Hingham, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitman-Hanson Regional will head out to take on Silver Lake Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hingham, they will venture away from home to face off against Braintree at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wamps' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Harbormen's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
