Spearville got themselves on the board against Ellis on Tuesday, but Ellis never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Railroaders. Considering the Lancers have won three matchups by more than ten runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Spearville let Danny Alcala and Ian Melendez run wild. Alcala scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Melendez scored two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs Alcala has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Austin Ruiz, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

The victory made it two in a row for Spearville and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.0 runs over those games. As for Ellis, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-1.
