Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Milford

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Milford had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 41-40 photo finish over the Avinger Indians. The win was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on five straight.

Leading Milford to victory were Jaycee Rigsby and Amiya Smith. Rigsby posted 19 points in addition to seven boards and four steals, while Smith went 6-for-12 to rack up 13 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Rigsby has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Tristyn Hosay was another key player, putting up four points.

Milford pushed their record up to 25-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Avinger, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-4.
