Baseball Recap: Colony Find Success

While Colony's victory against Palmer wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights skirted past the Moose 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since April 9, 2025.

Clay Wood looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Colony is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-3-1 otherwise.

At the plate, Hayden Sherman was excellent, going 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Colony's victory bumped their record up to 2-4-1. As for Palmer, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Colony will venture away from home to square off against Wasilla at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 11.4 runs per game this season. As for Palmer, they will welcome Monroe Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
