Volleyball Recap: Georgetown Has No Trouble Against Pflugerville Connally

Georgetown's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Pflugerville Connally Cougars. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Georgetown was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-6, 25-14.

Jordan Pitkethley went supernova, getting eight digs and seven aces. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high. Makenna Stengle also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Georgetown was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Georgetown's record now sits at 18-11. As for Pflugerville Connally, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-22 record this season.
