Softball Recap: Pequot Lakes Drops Season-High Score on Little Falls

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pequot Lakes). They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Little Falls Flyers on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Patriots with their most commanding win of the season.

Pequot Lakes' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-6. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Little Falls, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Pequot Lakes will face off against Milaca at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.73 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Little Falls, they will square off against St. Cloud Cathedral at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
