Baseball Recap: Alleghany Takes a Loss

Alleghany came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss last Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Maplewood Tigers by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The Trojans just can't catch a break and have now endured eight defeats in a row.

Alleghany saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Damon Davis, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Another was John Lemasters, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Alleghany's loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Maplewood beat Alleghany by a score of 7-5 on Saturday.
