Soccer Game Preview: Muncy vs. Jersey Shore

The Muncy Indians will head out to square off against the Jersey Shore Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Muncy knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Jersey Shore likes a good challenge.

On Saturday, Muncy made easy work of Montgomery and carried off a 6-1 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Muncy's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Montgomery are ranked 331st).

Muncy hit Montgomery with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ella Nagel (2), Kiki Woodward (2), Emma McCormick, and Alexis Mcketa.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Jersey Shore ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past Shamokin Area 2-1.

Muncy's record is now 12-2-1. As for Jersey Shore, their record now sits at 5-12.

Muncy was able to grind out a solid victory over Jersey Shore in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
