Recap: Bedford vs. Monroe
If the Monroe Trojans were expecting to get some payback for the 60-22 defeat against the Bedford Kicking Mules when they previously met last month, then they were left disappointed. The contest between them on Friday was not particularly close, with Monroe falling 49-31. They can't seem to catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.
The Trojans' loss pushed them down to 4-11. The victory was the third in a row for Bedford and raised their record to 14-3.
The Trojans are staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Gabriel Richard. Monroe isn't the favorite to win, but, of course, any team can defy the odds on the right day. As for Bedford, they will face off against Airport on Tuesday. Bedford won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
