Oxford had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They took down the Jacksonville Golden Eagles 58-40. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 68-47 back in November of 2024.

Oxford's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaslyn Montgomery, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Montgomery a new career-high in steals (four). Another player making a difference was T Boyd, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 11 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.

Jacksonville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Alexis Phillips, who posted 13 points and seven steals. Phillips is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last five games she's played. Neveah Nicholson was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.

Oxford has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.6 points per game. As for Jacksonville, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 20-7 record.

Oxford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 48-29 win against Shades Valley on the 3rd. As for Jacksonville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-24 victory against Alexandria on the 30th.
