Recap: Western Harnett Eagles vs. E.E. Smith Golden Bulls

This season hasn't been kind to the Western Harnett Eagles, who are still winless after their 15th contest. They had to suffer through a rough 68-40 loss at the hands of E.E. Smith. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Western Harnett in their matchups with the Golden Bulls: they've now lost six in a row.

Despite the loss, Western Harnett still got an impressive performance from Don Thomas, who scored 13 points along with four steals. Kevin Guerrero was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds.

Decarlo Brunson was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with six rebounds for E.E. Smith. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brunson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Asany Richmond, who scored 16 points along with five assists.

Western Harnett dropped their record down to 0-15 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for E.E. Smith, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Triton the next time they take the court. Western Harnett will host the Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Golden Bulls will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
