Softball Recap: Gwynedd Mercy Academy Comes Up Short

Gwynedd Mercy Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 15-5 to the Central Bucks South Titans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Monarchs of the 4-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2022.

Natalie Kelley was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs, four RBI, and one stolen base while going 3-for-3. Payton Krapf also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Gwynedd Mercy Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Central Bucks South, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Gwynedd Mercy Academy will take on Mt. St. Joseph Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Bucks South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
