The matchup between South Fulton and Mayfield on Saturday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Red Devils skirted past the Cardinals 14-13. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Red Devils' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

South Fulton now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Mayfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Coming up, South Fulton will head out to challenge Gleason at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.7 runs per game on average), something the Red Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mayfield, they will face off against Peabody at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
