Volleyball Recap: El Monte Takes a Loss

El Monte came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Marshall Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-15, 25-15.

El Monte's loss dropped their record down to 3-4. As for Marshall, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. El Monte will challenge rival Rosemead at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Marshall is set to face off against their familiar foe Mountain View at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
