Recap: Wortham Bulldogs vs. Marlin Bulldogs
This season hasn't been kind to the Wortham Bulldogs, who are still winless after their 16th matchup. They were outmatched by Marlin on the road and fell 93-5. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Wortham has scored all season.
Marlin was led to victory by Shawna Robinson and Kya Mitchell. Robinson dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 steals, while Mitchell dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 steals. Mitchell hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. Another player making a difference was Keundra Wilson, who scored six points along with nine steals.
Wortham dropped their record down to 0-16 with that defeat, which was their 21st straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Marlin, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-3.
Wortham will be playing in front of their home fans against Hubbard at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hubbard is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Marlin, they will head out on the road to face off against Bremond at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bremond is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
