Soccer Game Preview: Ruskin Christian vs. Eastland Christian

The Ruskin Christian Warriors will head out to square off against the Eastland Christian Hurricanes at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Ruskin Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Florida's top teams: Polk Christian Prep, who was ranked fourth at the time (Ruskin Christian was ranked eighth). The Warriors came up short against the Stars on Monday, falling 9-6. The game was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Ruskin Christian struggled afterwards.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Eastland Christian had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They skirted past the Lions 4-3. Eastland Christian's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

They hit Redeemer Christian with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Halie Lewis (2), Daniella Fonseca, and Halle Fleming.

Eastland Christian's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-0. As for Ruskin Christian, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1-1 and their overall record down to 3-3-2.
