Basketball Recap: West Iredell Comes Up Short

West Iredell played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Rocky River Ravens, falling 71-29. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-15.

Rocky River's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tristin Jarrett, who went 10 for 14 on her way to 23 points. Those 23 points gave Jarrett a new career-high. Camille Montgomery was another key player, going 6 of 11 on her way to 18 points.

West Iredell's loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Rocky River, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

West Iredell has already played their next contest, a 57-8 defeat against Mooresville on the 28th. As for Rocky River, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 46-29 win against Statesville on the 28th.
