Baseball Recap: Mesa Takes a Loss

Mesa's last matchup with San Luis could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Tuesday. The Jackrabbits came up short against the Sidewinders, falling 14-1. The Jackrabbits haven't had much luck with the Sidewinders recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Mesa saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gerardo Sanchez, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Mesa's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for San Luis, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season.

Mesa will venture away from home to square off against Skyline at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Jackrabbits' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Coyotes have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for San Luis, they will welcome Gila Ridge at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
