Volleyball Recap: Falls Lake Beats Henderson Collegiate for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Falls Lake entered their tilt with Henderson Collegiate on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Pride with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Firebirds have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pride, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Falls Lake took every set by at least 22 points. The final score came out to 25-1, 25-3, 25-3.

Tess DeZurik was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 13 aces and four digs. Those 13 aces gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addison Buffaloe, who had seven aces and six assists.

Falls Lake's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Henderson Collegiate, they dropped their record down to 3-3 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Falls Lake will square off against Panther Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Henderson Collegiate, they will take on Eno River Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
