Recap: Mendenhall Tigers vs. Northeast Jones Tigers
The Mendenhall Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 67-35 loss at the hands of Northeast Jones. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Mendenhall has suffered yet this season.
Falasia Cooley went supernova for Northeast Jones, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cooley has scored all season. Madison Evans was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Mendenhall has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Northeast Jones, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Quitman the next time they take the court. Northeast Jones will head out to face Quitman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Mendenhall will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
