Basketball Recap: KIPP Nashville Collegiate Comes Up Short

KIPP Nashville Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 69-6 loss at the hands of the East Nashville Magnet Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 402nd, while the Eagles are ranked 60th).

KIPP Nashville Collegiate's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for East Nashville Magnet, their victory bumped their record up to 19-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. KIPP Nashville Collegiate will face off against RePublic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Nashville Magnet, they will venture away from home to face off against Stratford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. East Nashville Magnet knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Stratford likes a good challenge.
