Soccer Recap: DeSoto Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cedar Hill last Tuesday, DeSoto came back down to earth. The DeSoto Eagles lost 6-1 to the Skyline Raiders on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now lost five in a row.

DeSoto's goal came courtesy of Erasmo Garica, which was the first he's scored this season.

DeSoto's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Skyline, their win bumped their record up to 6-3-2.

Coming up, DeSoto will welcome Lancaster at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. DeSoto is facing Lancaster at the right time seeing as Lancaster is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Skyline, they will venture away from home to square off against Horn at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Horn will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Skyline surely won't give up without a fight.
