Football Game Preview: East Ridge Knights vs. Tavares Bulldogs

The East Ridge Knights are taking a road trip to take on the Tavares Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Ridge will be strutting in after a win while Tavares will be coming in after a loss.

East Ridge is headed out to face Tavares after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. East Ridge blew past South Lake 45-0 on Tuesday.

Kourtnei Locke had an outrageously good game as she picked up 83 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

East Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Nolani Hernandez, Astrid Vargas, Shenoa Zayas-Nigaglioni, and Grace Roman picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, Tavares had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 32-0 defeat at the hands of Lake Minneola on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

East Ridge was able to grind out a solid victory over Tavares in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 13-0. Does East Ridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tavares turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
