Basketball Recap: Loveland's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak at Home

Loveland had lost seven straight headed into Monday's game, but Ryann Unruh didn't let it get to eight. The Loveland Tigers blew past the Turpin Spartans 66-39 on Monday thanks in part to Unruh, who went 8 for 11 on her way to 19 points along with six assists and six boards. Those 19 points gave her a new career-high.

Loveland's win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-12. As for Turpin, their loss dropped their record down to 2-18.

Loveland and Turpin could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Loveland will square off against Lebanon at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday down 162 places (292 vs. 130). Loveland is out to stop a seven-game streak of losses at home. Similarly, Turpin (ranked 505th) will meet Milford (ranked 25th) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
