Basketball Recap: East Central Takes a Loss

East Central lost against Gautier back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The East Central Hornets were beaten by the Gautier Gators 63-33. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why East Central lost, don't look at Brody Howard. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was AJ Hopkins, who had 18 points and five rebounds.

East Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Gautier, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

East Central will challenge Chickasaw at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gautier, they will take on Laurel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
