Soccer Game Preview: Central Bucks East vs. Pennridge

The Central Bucks East Patriots will challenge the Pennridge Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Central Bucks East is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Holy Ghost Prep on Friday. They fell just short of the Firebirds by a score of 1-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Central Bucks East came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while Holy Ghost Prep are ranked 135th).

Meanwhile, Pennridge won against Hatboro-Horsham on Saturday with two goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Friday. The Rams narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Neshaminy 2-1. That's two games straight that Pennridge have won by just one goal.

Central Bucks East's loss dropped their record down to 8-5-1. As for Pennridge, their victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7-2.

Everything went Central Bucks East's way against Pennridge in their previous matchup back in September, as Central Bucks East made off with a 5-1 win. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
