Recap: Malone Tigers vs. Marianna Bulldogs
This season hasn't been kind to the Malone Tigers, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They took a serious blow against Marianna on Thursday, falling 68-35. Malone has struggled against Marianna recently, as their contest on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Miles Foushee, who scored 7 points. Another player making a difference was Hoke Harkrider, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Malone's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-4. As for Marianna, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Malone will take on Bethlehem at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bethlehem knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Malone likes a good challenge. As for Marianna, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Florida State University High School at 6:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Hopefully Florida State University High School focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
