Volleyball Game Preview: Minnechaug Regional Falcons vs. Central Golden Eagles

The Minnechaug Regional Falcons are taking a road trip to face off against the Central Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Minnechaug Regional is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Minnechaug Regional came up short against Longmeadow on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Minnechaug Regional took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-14, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Central made easy work of Ludlow on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. As for Minnechaug Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Minnechaug Regional couldn't quite get it done against Central when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
