After a string of seven wins, Taunton's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Milford Scarlet Hawks. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Scarlet Hawks earlier this season, when they won 11-1.

Taunton got a good showing from Aiden Resendes, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Resendes has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Dylan Keenan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Taunton's defeat dropped their record down to 17-4. As for Milford, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-13 record this season.

Taunton will venture away from home to take on Durfee at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Milford, they will welcome Hopedale at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
