Basketball Recap: Central Cabarrus Skates Past East Rowan with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carson, Central Cabarrus was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They claimed a resounding 70-39 victory over the East Rowan Mustangs. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 599th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Central Cabarrus got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Infinite Morrow out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kevonta' Martin, who went 6 of 10 en route to 16 points in addition to six assists and six boards.

The victory got Central Cabarrus back to even at 9-9. As for East Rowan, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Cabarrus will venture away from home to challenge East Mecklenburg at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Rowan, they will face off against Carson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
