Basketball Recap: Fort Towson Comes Up Short

Fort Towson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 35-29 heartbreaker at the hands of the Eagletown Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-24 back in December of 2024.

Fort Towson's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Eagletown, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Smithville the next time they take the court. Fort Towson will host Smithville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Eagletown will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th.
