Softball Game Preview: Palmetto Panthers vs. Coral Park Rams

The Palmetto Panthers will challenge the Coral Park Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Palmetto came up short against St. Brendan on Wednesday, falling 20-10. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Sabres: they've now lost three in a row.

Rebekah Diener was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Torres, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Coral Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 18-14 to Homestead. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
