Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Harris Khan and Antony Luna Orozco Lead James Irwin to Victory

James Irwin not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 13th (when they won 3-0). They blew past the Atlas Preparatory School Gryphons 3-0. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Gryphons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

James Irwin walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-19, 25-15.

Leading James Irwin to victory were Antony Luna Orozco and Harris Khan. Luna Orozco had 17 assists and eight digs, while Khan had 11 digs and one block. That's the most assists Luna Orozco has posted since back in March.

James Irwin was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. They are a perfect 4-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 5-11. As for Atlas Preparatory School, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. James Irwin is set to square off against their familiar foe Thomas MacLaren School at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Atlas Preparatory School will take on rival Canon City at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
