Basketball Recap: Chicago Vocational Comes Up Short

Chicago Vocational was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt a 76-25 loss at the hands of the Evergreen Park Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 642nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 256th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Evergreen Park to victory, but perhaps none more so than Grace Kole, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 14 boards. Kole has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatum Harris, who went 7-for-17 to rack up 17 points in addition to seven boards and five steals.

Chicago Vocational's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Evergreen Park, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-10.

Chicago Vocational does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Evergreen Park, they have already played their next matchup, a 41-34 loss against Simeon on the 20th.
