Volleyball Game Preview: Yuba City Honkers vs. Nevada Union Miners

The Yuba City Honkers will head out to face off against the Nevada Union Miners at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Yuba City is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Placer, falling 3-0.

Yuba City took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-17, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Nevada Union unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Del Oro. The shutout was out of character for the Miners seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

While Nevada Union was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-16, 25-20.

Nevada Union's loss dropped their record down to 27-7. As for Yuba City, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-19.

Yuba City might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Nevada Union when the teams last played back in March. Can the Honkers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
