Soccer Game Preview: Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech vs. Cape Hatteras

The Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Griffins will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Cape Hatteras Hurricanes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech will be strutting in after a win while Cape Hatteras will be coming in after a defeat.

If Cape Hatteras heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech took over last week. The Griffins walked away with a 3-1 victory over Bear Grass Charter last Tuesday. The game was the first time Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech have beaten Bear Grass Charter on their pitch since October 4, 2022.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Cape Hatteras' offense. They came up short against Manteo on Friday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Cape Hatteras can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 285th, while Manteo are ranked 110th).

Cape Hatteras has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4-2 record this season. As for Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech, their win bumped their record up to 8-5-1.
