Dallastown took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Cedar Cliff, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Colts on Friday. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by just one run.
Dallastown's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Logan Kessler, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Carson Meyer was another, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
The victory got Dallastown back to even at 4-4. As for Cedar Cliff, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dallastown will welcome Cumberland Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cedar Cliff, they will be playing at home against Mifflin County at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Colts surely won't give up without a fight.
