Baseball Game Preview: South Colonels vs. Burncoat Patriots

South is 8-2 against Burncoat since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Colonels will welcome the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. South is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

South made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Burncoat, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Colonels' pitchers stepped up to hand the Patriots a 12-0 shutout on Monday. Fans of the Colonels have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

South pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 9.8 runs thus far. As for Burncoat, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
